Use of Steroids in Sports and just how it Affects Young Folks

An individual should seriously look at the use of steroid drugs in sports and how it influences young people if you are considering about using them. Anabolic steroids have proven dangerous and reactive to teenagers in particular.

Steroids are made up of synthetic material that acts similar to testosterone. Testosterone is naturally produced by males also to a lesser degree, by females. There is nothing natural about steroids, however. Right now there is no question that they do help people to "bulk up" quicker and that has already been their appeal.

Let's look at the use of steroids in sports and how it impacts young people. Steroids cause the hormones to become unbalanced. This especially impacts young adults in their development of gender specific traits. Girls will grow excessive body hair, get deeper noises and their breasts get smaller in size. Boys testicles shrink, their sperm count number decreases, and they grow breasts. Rather than girls becoming more feminine and males more masculine, they do the reverse. It is embarrassing and disfiguring to say the least!

Steroid use also may stunt the expansion of the user. The end of puberty almost all of the time signals the body that the growing period is over Anabolic Steroid Alternatives and the bones stop growing. The mixed-up hormone express caused by the steroid drugs mistakenly informs the body that puberty is over and growth stops. This growth loss is long term, quite a cost to cover being "ripped"!

There are other serious health hazards from taking steroids. Organs and muscles can be influenced adversely. Individual tissue make protein than can lead to liver tumors and even cancer. Occasionally cysts form in the liver that are filled with blood and they can rupture and cause internal bleeding, which may be dangerous!

Steroids can be used in pill form or inserted with a hypodermic filling device. Both are dangerous. Consumers may do "stacking" which is using two or more steroids together to get faster results. Or perhaps, they may "pyramid", this means starting in lower doses, little by little increasing, then lowering dosage. This is over a 6 - 13 week cycle.

Other aspect effects include greasy skin, severe acne, hair reduction, bad breath, a vulnerable immune system and even behavioral changes. Long expression use has been associated with changes in mood, and even aggressive, rage-filled rampages.

Anabolic steroids are occasionally approved by a medical doctor for anemia or for men who have a low testosterone count. Abuse of steroids means taking dosages 10 times to a hundred times more powerful than that recommended medically.

Teenagers should steer clear of using these synthetic steroids. The fast, easy way to "bulking up" is filled with hazards that could permanently disfigure them and cause serious health problems. Parents should also beware of use of steroids in sports and how it influences teenagers.
